WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian that occurred Thursday evening. The incident took place around 6:50 p.m. on the 400 block of East 4th Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a critically injured 62-year-old male, later identified as Roger Frisby. Frisby was promptly transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries earlier today.
The vehicle involved in the incident remained at the scene, according to the Wilmington Police Department. As of now, no charges have been filed and the driver’s identity has not been released.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear. The Wilmington Police Department’s Special Operations Division/Traffic Unit is leading the ongoing investigation into the collision. Authorities are urging anyone who may have information regarding the incident to come forward and assist with the inquiry.
