PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced scheduled curb and sidewalk construction as part of a project to improve the pedestrian bridge for St. Joseph’s University. The project, taking place on U.S. 1 (City Avenue), spans Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township.

Alternating lane closures will occur from Monday, February 3, through Friday, February 7, between 9 AM and 3 PM. The affected area extends in both directions on U.S. 1, between 59th Street and Lapsley Lane.

Motorists should plan for delays and allow additional time when traveling through the work zone. PennDOT emphasized that the construction schedule is weather dependent.
