SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — PECO Energy is set to undertake utility construction on several state highways in Bucks and Delaware counties, according to recent announcements. The construction activities are expected to cause travel restrictions, and motorists are advised to anticipate delays.
In Bucks County, from Monday, November 27, through Friday, December 22, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 263 (Upper York Road) between River Road and Circle View Drive in Solebury Township. The closure will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
In Delaware County, starting Wednesday, November 29, through Friday, December 29, a weekday lane closure is planned on U.S. 13 (Chester Pike) in both directions at the intersection with Pine Street in Collingdale Borough. This closure will also occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near these work areas due to anticipated backups and delays. All scheduled activities are dependent on weather conditions.
PECO Energy will carry out these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. The utility construction is part of PECO Energy’s ongoing efforts to improve and maintain infrastructure in the region.
