HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA — Pacific Medical Training (PMT) has unveiled a new initiative offering free Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) training to active volunteer firefighters. This program aims to equip these first responders with crucial skills needed to handle medical emergencies effectively.
PMT’s courses provide comprehensive online training, allowing participants to start immediately and progress at their own pace. Each course offers up to 8 AMA CME/CE credits, helping participants earn valuable continuing education credits. After completing the courses, participants receive an eCard certificate and can take a skills test with an instructor. A printed certificate is also provided upon passing the exam.
“We are committed to supporting our local communities and the courageous individuals who serve as volunteer firefighters,” said William Entriken, general manager of Pacific Medical Training. “By offering free ACLS, PALS, and BLS training, we aim to empower these heroes with the skills they need to save lives and provide better initial care to those in need.”
To enroll, active volunteer firefighters need to submit documentation of their status. The courses cover essential life-saving techniques such as CPR, defibrillation, airway management, and medication administration. Visit 911ConEd.com for more information.
