Omnis Fuel Technologies Champions Green Economy with Hydrogen Advisory Board

Hydrogen and Carbon Capture Conference

PENN VALLEY, PA — Omnis Fuel Technologies is reshaping the narrative around fossil fuels and their place in the green economy. The company’s Hydrogen Advisory Board, under the leadership of Chairman Nansen Saleri, is promoting a harmonious relationship between hydrocarbon energy sources and net-zero goals.

The board’s vision was shared by Saleri at the Appalachian Hydrogen & Carbon Capture Conference V, held at the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Southpointe on November 30, 2023. As the keynote speaker, Saleri emphasized the potential for coal, oil, and natural gas to aid in achieving energy abundance and climate targets.

Omnis Fuel Technologies is pioneering a unique approach that integrates fossil fuels into the burgeoning hydrogen economy. The company utilizes an ultra-high temperature of approximately 5,500 degrees Fahrenheit to execute an advanced process called Omnis Quantum Pyrolysis™ (OQR™). This method results in the production of hydrogen and valuable materials such as graphite and graphene.

Saleri highlighted the importance of scientific understanding in decarbonization efforts. He asserted that fossil fuels could play a significant role in the green economy if greenhouse gas emissions are properly managed. The OQR process exemplifies this approach by generating high-value carbon products crucial for a net-zero future.

Tom Gellrich, CEO and Founder of H2-CCS Network, expressed his pleasure at Saleri unveiling the OQR process at the conference. To demonstrate the viability of this technology, Omnis has purchased the Pleasants plant, a long-standing coal-fired power plant in Pleasants County, WV. The plant is currently undergoing an 18-month retrofitting process to incorporate a refinery that will utilize the OQR process.

The OQR process not only produces hydrogen but also generates water, averting strain on water supplies. Additionally, it significantly reduces the unit production cost of hydrogen compared to conventional electrolysis processes.

Saleri concluded his presentation by emphasizing the ongoing energy transition and the abundant opportunities it presents. He expressed optimism for the journey ahead and the potential for OQR to contribute to net-zero efforts.
