MEDIA, PA — Media’s beloved local haunt, Off The Rail, is set to make a comeback on February 6, 2024, following its closure in late 2023. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and hearty fare, the restaurant located at 109 W. State Street is poised to welcome back patrons with a fresh look and an enhanced menu.
The reopening will occur in stages, starting with a brand new dining room and a cozy bar area. By spring, customers can expect the outdoor bar and patio to be up and running, just in time for Media’s popular Dining Under The Stars event.
While the redesigned space bids farewell to the DJ booth, it welcomes family-friendly seating, creating a more inclusive environment. The menu, a crucial part of the Off The Rail experience, sees the return of customer favorites like Wings, Bacon, Egg and Cheese, Mozzarella Sticks, and Fish Tacos. New enticing offerings include the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, Blackened Blue Burger, Hot Rail Shrimp, and Boardwalk Fries.
For those with a penchant for beverages, the drink menu also gets a revamp. Fresh additions like the White Flower Cosmo and Media Maple Smash join the ranks of classic cocktails like The Rail and the Spicy Margarita.
In a statement from the business owners, they acknowledged the challenges faced during the closure, expressing gratitude for the support they received from the community. “We know this is a neighborhood establishment and we wanted to do our loyal customers justice. The amount of support we have received these last few months is what helped us stay strong and keep up the momentum to open Off The Rail better than ever.”
As Off The Rail continues its phased reopening, reservations are recommended and can be made via OpenTable. The restaurant will operate Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight, and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to midnight.
With its refreshed look, enhanced menu, and the same neighborhood charm, Off The Rail is ready to reclaim its role as a cherished local establishment in Media. The reopening signals not just a new chapter for the restaurant, but also a testament to the resilience of local businesses and the communities that support them.
