PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced nighttime lane closures on northbound I-95 in Philadelphia to facilitate sign removal as part of the ongoing $329 million I-95/CAP project. This initiative aims to replace and enhance the covered section of the interstate while bolstering connections between Center City and the Delaware River waterfront.
From Monday, April 7, to Tuesday, April 8, a right lane will be closed between the Walt Whitman Bridge and Penn’s Landing interchanges. The closures are scheduled from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM each night.
Motorists traveling through the area should anticipate delays and plan additional travel time. The schedule may change depending on weather conditions. This work is part of PennDOT’s long-term commitment to improving infrastructure in the region while enhancing multi-modal access for commuters and visitors alike.
