Nightly Lane Closures on Eastbound U.S. 422 from June 17 to October 31!

Lane Closure - Traffic Alert

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that concrete patching operations will continue next week on eastbound U.S. 422. This work is part of a $6.9 million project to rehabilitate pavement between the Route 29/Phoenixville and Route 363/Trooper Road interchanges in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships.

From Monday, June 17, through Thursday, October 31, there will be weeknight and Sunday night single lane closures from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Phoenixville/Collegeville (Route 29) and Bridgeport/Valley Forge (Route 23) interchanges.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area, as backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under this contract, PennDOT will repair existing pavement with accelerated concrete patching, perform bridge deck repair, diamond grinding, and joint sealing, and install reflective pavement markings.

J. D. Eckman, Inc. of Atglen, Chester County, is the general contractor for this project, which is financed entirely with state funds.
