MONTGOMERY TWP, PA — PennDOT’s ongoing efforts to enhance travel and safety at the Five-Points Intersection in Montgomery Township will lead to temporary disruptions next week.
Commencing Monday, May 20, through Thursday, May 23, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, motorists navigating Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike), Route 463 (Cowpath Road/Horsham Road), and Business U.S. 202 (Doylestown Road) are advised to brace for alternating lane closures and altered traffic patterns.
The utility work, part of a $14.2 million project aiming to improve traffic flow and safety at this crucial intersection, will necessitate adjustments in driving routes and patience from commuters. It is imperative for drivers to allocate additional travel time as backups and delays are expected in these areas due to the ongoing construction activities.
PennDOT has emphasized the importance of weather conditions playing a role in the scheduling of these operations, stressing the need for flexibility during this period of infrastructure enhancement.
