RADNOR, PA — NewSpring Holdings has announced the acquisition of Xpect Solutions, a leading provider of enterprise IT and security solutions, enhancing its capabilities in serving federal agencies such as the FBI, DOJ, and NIH. This acquisition marks the third active investment within NewSpring’s Federal Platform, which focuses on delivering mission-critical solutions to the U.S. Government.
Xpect Solutions is renowned for its expertise in engineering, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and data center management. The company is dedicated to providing secure and reliable technology to meet the complex requirements of federal clients, ensuring efficient operations against evolving criminal threats.
The acquisition aligns with NewSpring Holdings’ strategic approach of partnering with industry experts to create value. Federal law enforcement veterans Yusuf Abdul-Salaam and Amaha Tsegaye will lead Xpect, with Abdul-Salaam as CEO and Tsegaye as COO. Abdul-Salaam brings 15 years of experience in supporting federal law enforcement, while Tsegaye adds expertise in national security operations.
NewSpring General Partner Lee Garber emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, “Partnering with Yusuf and Amaha to execute this acquisition marks a pivotal moment in advancing our momentum in the federal sector.”
Former Xpect CEO Ash Halim will transition to President, continuing his involvement in daily operations. Halim noted, “NewSpring Holdings has an established reputation for successfully investing in technology-enabled services within the federal market, making them the perfect partner for this next chapter.”
Xpect will benefit from the strategic guidance of NewSpring’s Federal Advisory Board, led by Andy Maner and Chris Blahm, bringing extensive federal services experience. Thomas Sobocinski, a seasoned federal law enforcement veteran, will join Xpect’s Board of Directors.
With this acquisition, NewSpring Holdings is well-positioned to enhance its mission-centric solutions, joining forces with other platform companies like BCore and C Speed, and continuing the success path set by Avantus Federal.
