NEW HOPE, PA — The Force will be strong in Downtown New Hope on Saturday, May 4, 2025, as the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce hosts its second annual “May the 4th” Star Wars Day celebration. From 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the event will bring iconic Star Wars characters and themed activities to Main Street for an immersive and family-friendly experience.

This year’s celebration features an exciting character activation courtesy of Garrison Carida, the regional unit of the 501st Legion, a global Star Wars costuming group. Fans of all ages can spot these “bad guys doing good” visiting local businesses such as the Ferry Market, Logan Inn, Havana, Fran’s Pub, and more. Participation in the character activation and street activities is free, while food, drinks, and shopping are pay-as-you-go.

“This event showcases the creativity of our community and brings people together in the spirit of fun,” said Michael Sklar, president of the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce. “Seeing fans interact with characters and enjoy specials from local businesses has become a true highlight of spring in New Hope.”

Local businesses will join the celebration with Star Wars-themed activities, food, and drink specials. GreenHouse New Hope will offer the Tatooine Sunrise cocktail, while Nozomu Sushi will feature Luke Skywalker and Yoda-themed sushi rolls. Plant Haus will host a “Galaxy Paint & Pot” crafting session for all ages, and the Playhouse Deck will run “Cantina Quizzo” with themed drinks like Blue Milk and Baby Yoda Soda.

The festivities aim to provide a memorable day for families, fans, and locals alike. Garrison Carida encourages donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to support granting wishes for children with critical illnesses.
