JENKINTOWN, PA — The National Philanthropic Trust (NPT), a leading independent public charity known for managing donor-advised funds (DAFs) and ranking among the world’s top grantmaking organizations, announced the recent appointment of Linda K. Myers as the chair of its Board of Trustees.

Myers, a distinguished attorney with national recognition, has contributed her expertise to NPT’s board since 2020, serving in roles such as vice chair and chair of the Compensation and Human Resources Committee. Her transition to board chair is seen as a strategic move for NPT, especially at a time when the organization is expanding and diversifying its philanthropic support.

Eileen Heisman, CEO of National Philanthropic Trust, praised Myers for her exceptional background in law, business, and governance, coupled with a lifelong commitment to philanthropy. “Linda joined NPT’s Board of Trustees in the early days of the pandemic and quickly became a strategic voice on the board and in her committee leadership,” Heisman said, expressing confidence in Myers’s ability to guide NPT through its next growth phase.

Before retiring in 2022, Myers was a corporate partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where her work focused on debt financing transactions across various industries. Her legal acumen and leadership earned her numerous accolades, including being named an “Eminent Practitioner” by Chambers Global and Chambers USA, and recognition as one of “The Most Influential Women Lawyers in Chicago” by Crain’s Chicago Business.

Beyond her legal career, Myers holds significant positions on the boards of several prominent companies, including Gibraltar Industries, LCI Industries, and the pending NASDAQ-listed Marex Group plc. She also contributes to Kinzie Capital Partners’ advisory board, a women-founded private equity fund.
