MRO Earns NCQA Data Stream Validation, Boosting Efficiency in Healthcare Reporting

MRO Corp

NORRISTOWN, PA — MRO Corp. has announced its achievement of the Validated Data Stream designation in the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Data Aggregator Validation program. This marks the third time MRO has earned this significant validation.

The NCQA Data Aggregator Validation program is a rigorous process that scrutinizes the quality and integrity of data and the procedures used to manage and safeguard it. Data streams that earn validation adhere to NCQA process, system, and data standards, from the point of ingestion at primary sources through to transmission to end users.

Earning this validation signifies a major accomplishment for MRO. “MRO is excited to earn data stream validations for a third time,” said Jason Brown, CEO at MRO. “This validation process shows our organization’s commitment to data quality.”

MRO’s validated data streams provide clinical data directly sourced from multiple electronic health records (EHRs), with proven accuracy. This helps healthcare providers and health plan partners save time and money during Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) reporting.

In addition to improving functional operations through interoperable data connectivity across provider networks, the validation also removes administrative burdens for both payers and their networked providers.

Accepted as standard supplemental data in HEDIS audits, validated data flows improve the efficiency of today’s quality measurement processes. No primary source verification is required for HEDIS reporting when health plans report data from Data Aggregator Validation validated sources.

MRO’s recent success extends beyond data stream validation. The company has also received a HEDIS Allowable Adjustment Certification from NCQA for 18 HEDIS measures, ensuring vendors have the expertise and capabilities to calculate HEDIS Measures accurately.

These achievements have drawn praise from the industry. Piyush Khanna, VP for Clinical Services at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, one of the country’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organizations, congratulated MRO on its certification. “We look forward to seeing how the designation impacts use cases across our enterprise as we advance clinical data exchange in our network,” he said.

This validation and certification underline MRO’s commitment to data quality and efficiency, providing a significant boost to healthcare reporting processes. As the industry continues to digitize and streamline its operations, companies like MRO are paving the way with their emphasis on data integrity and accuracy.
