BRISTOL TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that motorists should brace for possible delays on Interstate 95 due to scheduled bridge construction in Bristol Township, Bucks County. The work is set to begin on Sunday, March 24.
Travel restrictions are expected to impact the stretch of I-95 between U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) and Oxford Valley Road. From March 24 through June 2, a lane closure is scheduled from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Sundays through Fridays. Additional work hours will include Saturdays from 4:00 PM to 12:00 PM on Sundays in April and from 6:00 PM to 11:00 AM on Sundays in May.
Motorists should anticipate backups and delays during these times and are advised to allow extra travel time when passing through the affected areas. As always, any construction activities are subject to weather conditions and may be rescheduled or delayed in the event of adverse weather.
The project, which is under the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, will be completed with a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
