Montgomery County Nighttime Resurfacing to Cause Lane Closures and Delays

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that resurfacing operations will begin next week in Montgomery County.

On Sunday, June 2, lane closures will be in effect from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM on Pennsylvania Avenue between the Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass and Chelsea Avenue in Whitemarsh and Springfield townships for milling and paving.

From Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7, additional lane closures will occur on Pennsylvania Avenue during the same hours, and from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Joshua Avenue between Stenton Avenue and Emerson Drive in Whitemarsh Township will also see lane closures during these times for similar work.

Motorists should plan for extra travel time as slowdowns are expected. All activities depend on weather conditions.
