Montgomery County Commuters Alerted to Resurfacing Schedule

traffic alert expect delays

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has outlined an upcoming road resurfacing project in Montgomery County, which is set to affect commuters in the region.

Beginning Monday, September 16, thorough Friday, September 20, lane closures will be enforced on Kutztown Road, spanning from Route 663 (Layfield Road) to the Berks County line in Upper Hanover Township. The schedule for these closures extends from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and then again from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following day. Additionally, Swamp Creek Road in Marlborough Township will experience lane closures from Sunday, September 15, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and continuing through the week with the same time slots.

These improvements are necessary for road quality enhancement but are likely to cause travel delays, necessitating additional travel time planning by drivers. As all activities are contingent upon weather conditions, staying informed about potential adjustments is crucial.
