PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has confirmed that utility construction will necessitate the temporary closure of Milnor Street in Northeast Philadelphia. Sewer repair work is scheduled to take place overnight on Monday, March 3, and Wednesday, March 5, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning.
The closure will affect Milnor Street between Cottman Avenue and Bleigh Avenue. During this time, motorists traveling northbound will be detoured via Longshore Avenue, State Road, and Bleigh Avenue. Southbound traffic will be redirected along Bleigh Avenue, State Road, and New State Road to mitigate disruptions.
PennDOT advises motorists to allow for additional travel time when navigating the area, as backups and delays are expected. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent and subject to adjustments, should conditions require.
