BLUE BELL, PA — The Unisys Board of Directors has unanimously elected Mike Thomson as the company’s next CEO, effective April 1, 2025. Thomson currently serves as Unisys’ President and Chief Operating Officer and will retain his role as President while also joining the Board.

Peter Altabef, the current Chair and CEO, will remain as Chair of the Board. Altabef has been Unisys’ CEO since 2015 and has overseen a significant transformation of the company, including a renewed focus on innovation and a revitalized company culture.

Thomson joined Unisys in 2015 as Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer and quickly assumed leadership positions, becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2019 and President and COO in 2021. Overseeing several core functions, he has played a key role in shaping and implementing strategies that have strengthened the company’s financial position and operational capabilities.

“Mike’s passion for Unisys, proven leadership, and extensive experience position him well for this role,” said Altabef. “His work has been pivotal to the company’s strong performance and growth.”

Nate Davis, Lead Independent Director of the Board, praised the transition, stating, “Mike’s leadership will ensure continuity and success for Unisys while Peter’s ongoing role as Chair will provide invaluable guidance as the company continues its trajectory of innovation and growth.”

Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity, Thomson stated, “I am honored to lead Unisys into its next chapter. Our focus on excellence and innovation remains steadfast, and I am committed to advancing our transformation and growth strategies.”

This leadership transition reflects Unisys’ strong commitment to growth and innovation as the 151-year-old company enters its next phase under Thomson’s guidance.
