PHILADELPHIA, PA — Mars Sharrock, program director of The Wardrobe, has been recognized on the prestigious 30th annual Out100 list, a significant accolade celebrating influential LGBTQ+ individuals. Out, a leading fashion and lifestyle brand for the LGBTQ+ community, acknowledged Mars for their dedication to combating clothing insecurity and enhancing visibility for LGBTQ+ individuals.

As program director, Mars has played a vital role in expanding The Wardrobe’s services, particularly to transgender and queer community members, achieving a remarkable 50% increase in outreach. The Wardrobe provides essential clothing services for job interviews and gender transition affirmations, ensuring individuals are supported from head to toe.

Beyond The Wardrobe, Mars is actively involved with the Independence Business Alliance, the LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce for the region. They serve on the TransWork Committee, focusing on employment opportunities and improving workplace inclusivity for Trans and Gender Non-Conforming individuals. Mars also contributes to their local community garden, further reflecting their commitment to community service.

This year’s Out100 theme, “Together, Unlimited,” emphasizes the collective strength of the LGBTQ+ community. They will be celebrated at the Out100 Event on December 11, 2024, in Los Angeles, with a TV special airing on December 21, 2024.
