PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Mann Center for the Performing Arts has announced an extraordinary 2025 season, featuring a dynamic mix of world-class musical performances, innovative collaborations, and impactful community events. Spanning spring, summer, and fall, the season promises a rich array of experiences, from orchestral masterpieces to hip-hop festivals and immersive cultural initiatives.
Highlighted Performances
This season at the Mann includes an impressive variety of artists across genres. Among the highlights are two nights at the Roots Picnic on May 31 and June 1, headlined by D’Angelo with the Roots, Meek Mill, Lenny Kravitz, Tems, and more. Cynthia Erivo will perform with The Philadelphia Orchestra on June 21, showcasing new symphonic arrangements of her music. Rock legends such as Billy Idol (August 16), Ringo Starr (June 15), and Phish (July 15-16) are also slated to take the TD Pavilion stage under the stars.
The Classical Series will bring more memorable nights, including Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony by The Philadelphia Orchestra on June 17 and a live orchestra performance of Star Wars: A New Hope on June 20. July 28 marks a unique collaboration between King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard and The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, a world-premiere event.
New this season, the Mann continues its celebrated Dinner-and-Show program. On June 4, James Beard Award-winning Chef Cristina Martinez will present “A Taste of Home,” offering an authentic Mexican dining experience accompanied by live music and cultural storytelling.
Community and Educational Initiatives
The Mann’s role as a community hub is expanding with the new Mann Center Institute for Creative Arts and Community Impact. “This season reinforces the Mann’s essential role as Philadelphia’s cultural center,” shared Catherine M. Cahill, president and CEO of the Mann. The institute aims to develop career pathways for urban youth, enhance arts education, and strengthen community programming.
On May 17, the HBCU Festival returns with free admission for students and families. This all-day event will include representatives from 25 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), career fairs, local business showcases, and live performances from HBCU drumlines and choirs.
