UPLAND, PA — A tense manhunt is underway in Upland Borough, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, as police search for a suspect allegedly involved in a shooting incident that took place on December 23, 2023. The accused, Okorya Martel Craig-Dill, 31, is believed to be armed and dangerous, leading authorities to caution the public against approaching him.
The incident unfolded at 803 A Mulberry Street, where police were called to respond to a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers learned from the victims that they had arrived at the residence to collect personal belongings following one of the victims’ recent move out of the house.
According to the victims’ account, a physical altercation broke out while they were at the location. It is alleged that Craig-Dill, who was present at the scene, entered the residence and emerged with a firearm. As the victims fled north on Mulberry Street in their vehicle, the suspect reportedly fired multiple shots, striking their car several times.
Craig-Dill, described as a Black male, approximately 5’6″ tall and weighing around 190 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes, is believed to have fled the area in a Black Ford Edge bearing Pennsylvania Registration MCG1175. Police issued a warrant for his arrest on the same day as the incident.
The Upland Borough Police Department, under the authority of Magisterial District Judge Dawn L. Vann, is currently holding the arrest warrant. Craig-Dill’s charges aggravated assault and a person not to possess a firearm.
In light of these developments, residents are advised to remain vigilant and to contact 911 immediately if they spot Craig-Dill or the black Ford Edge. However, they are strongly cautioned not to approach the suspect due to the potential danger posed.
As the investigation continues, it is important to remember that all criminal charges are merely allegations. All defendants, including Craig-Dill, are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
