Manheim Woman Charged Following Alleged Domestic Dispute Over Portable Heater

MANHEIM, PA — A domestic dispute in Penn Township has led to charges being filed against a Manheim woman. The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department reports that Janell Leigh White, 41, allegedly assaulted her husband during a disagreement over a portable heater.

Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Lebanon Road on January 2, 2024, following reports of a domestic dispute in progress. According to the investigation, it’s alleged that during the argument, White threw a Yeti water bottle at her husband, striking him in the face.

The altercation escalated further when White was accused of assaulting her husband with a wreath decoration, causing multiple cuts. Based on these allegations, White was charged with simple assault domestic violence. She was subsequently taken before the local District Judge for arraignment.

It is important to note that these allegations are part of an ongoing investigation. A criminal complaint or an arrest does not constitute a declaration of guilt. Every suspect, including White, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
