READING, PA — The Berks County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 29-year-old Jonathan E. Polanco on February 15, 2024. The arrest followed multiple allegations against Polanco, including serious firearms violations.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, on August 24, 2023, Polanco reportedly failed to appear at a final disposition hearing at the Berks County Court of Common Pleas. The hearing pertained to multiple charges, such as possession of prohibited firearms and evading authorities, arising from an incident in October 2022.

The arrest comes after a warrant was issued for Polanco in August 2023. The list of charges against him is extensive, including the illegal possession of a firearm, receiving stolen property, driving without a license, exceeding the speed limit by 12 mph, and several traffic violations such as failure to stop at a red signal, careless driving, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle among others.

Nevertheless, it’s important to remember that these are allegations, and Polanco, like all individuals accused of a crime, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

We will continue to follow this story closely, providing updates as more information becomes available.
