Main Line Health

BRYN MAWR, PA — Jack Lynch, FACHE, who has served as President and CEO of Main Line Health for 20 years, will retire on June 30, 2025. Known for his unwavering dedication, Lynch has been a key figure in solidifying Main Line Health as a leader in providing safe, high-quality, and equitable healthcare.

Since joining Main Line Health in 2005, Lynch has spearheaded numerous transformative initiatives. He was instrumental in restructuring Main Line Health to become a standalone entity, independent of Jefferson Health System, and in incorporating Riddle Hospital and Mirmont Treatment Center into the organization. These strategic moves have allowed Main Line Health to operate more cohesively and efficiently across its campuses.

Reflecting on his tenure, Lynch remarked, “It has been the honor and privilege of my career to serve as President and CEO of Main Line Health. The past two decades have seen the System undergo remarkable growth and transformation, positioning us as an employer and care provider of choice. It’s our people who make a difference. I am extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish together and excited for the bright future that lies ahead for Main Line Health.”

Lynch’s commitment to patient safety, quality, and equity is evident through the establishment of the System Safety, Quality & Equity Committee. He also initiated an annual Healthcare Disparities Colloquium to address and reduce care disparities. His leadership has earned Main Line Health prestigious accolades from the American Hospital Association, including the Quest for Quality Award and the Carolyn Boone Lewis Equity of Care Award.

Lynch also enhanced the physician network, growing it to over 600 doctors and more than 300 advanced practice providers across 40 locations in the Greater Philadelphia area. His leadership was pivotal during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing stability and direction, particularly with vaccination efforts.

Steve Higgins, Chair of the Board of Governors, expressed gratitude for Lynch’s contributions, stating, “We are profoundly grateful for Jack’s extraordinary contributions to Main Line Health. His strategic vision and dedication have been instrumental in our success.
