LITITZ, PA — A welfare check conducted by the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department has led to the arrest of a Lititz man on charges of simple assault and strangulation. The accused, Robert Leon Boll, 55, allegedly caused visible injuries to his wife’s face and eye area.
Officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Chestnut Street in Warwick Township on January 4, 2024. Upon arrival, they made contact with the alleged victim, who reportedly had visible injuries. During their investigation, it was reported that her husband, Boll, was responsible for the injuries inflicted the previous day.
Allegedly, the assault escalated to the point where Boll is accused of placing his hands around his wife’s neck and applying pressure until she could not breathe. Following these allegations, officers took Boll into custody and presented him before the local District Judge on charges of simple assault and strangulation.
Nevertheless, it is crucial to remember that these are allegations, and a criminal complaint or arrest does not equate to a declaration of guilt. Every suspect, including Boll, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
