PHILADELPHIA, PA — Lincoln Financial (NYSE: LNC) has partnered with the Cobbs Creek Foundation to support the Cobbs Creek Golf and Education Campus, a transformative project under development in West Philadelphia. This collaboration aims to enhance infrastructure and create impactful programs, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening the local community.

At the core of the campus is the TGR Learning Lab Philadelphia, a 30,000-square-foot facility providing free, year-round Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) education for students grades 1–12, as well as college preparation and career readiness programs. With a full-time instructional staff, the lab is expected to benefit over 4,500 children and families annually through after-school, weekend, and summer activities.

Lincoln Financial, as a Founding Partner, will co-develop financial literacy programs for individuals and families alongside the Cobbs Creek and TGR foundations. “Lincoln Financial has a proud history of community partnership in Philadelphia,” said John Kennedy, Chief Distribution & Brand Officer at Lincoln Financial. “This partnership aligns with our mission to empower individuals and families to pursue the financial futures they want and deserve.”

Jeff Shanahan, President of the Cobbs Creek Foundation, highlighted the partnership’s potential impact. “Lincoln Financial and the Cobbs Creek Foundation share a deep commitment to fostering positive change for the communities we serve,” he said. “Together, we can create measurable personal and economic outcomes that will benefit families for generations.”

The campus, set to open in phases over the next two years, will include a TGR Design short course this summer and the TGR Learning Lab this spring. The central hub, named in recognition of Lincoln Financial’s partnership, will debut in 2025 with features like a golf practice facility, event space, and Heritage Center. The restoration of the championship 18-hole Olde Course, led by renowned architects Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner, is planned for completion in 2026, with a new 9-hole course set to open in 2027.
