PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming weekday lane closures on U.S. 13 (Frankford Avenue) and Grant Avenue in Philadelphia as part of a local safety improvement project. The work will focus on curb and sidewalk construction within the area.
The closures will be in effect from Friday, January 31, through Friday, February 28, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each weekday. On U.S. 13 (Frankford Avenue), the northbound lane between Grant Avenue and Carteret Drive will be closed. Similarly, lane restrictions will impact Grant Avenue between U.S. 13 (Frankford Avenue) and Torresdale Avenue.
PennDOT advises motorists to plan ahead and allow extra travel time when driving through these construction zones, as delays and backups are anticipated. The agency emphasizes that the schedule for these activities is weather-dependent.
