PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming bridge inspections on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia, which will require lane closures and may impact traffic flow.
On Monday, December 23, a right lane closure will occur on northbound I-95 at the Route 611 (Broad Street) Interchange from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Later that day, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a similar right lane closure is planned on southbound I-95 at the same interchange.
Motorists traveling through the affected areas are advised to expect potential slowdowns and plan for extra travel time. These inspections are necessary to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the busy interstate infrastructure. All activities are subject to change based on weather conditions.
PennDOT urges drivers to exercise caution while traveling near the work zones, as traffic adjustments may be required throughout the scheduled inspection period.
