Lane Closures for Route 611 Safety Project Announced

Lane restrictions

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced ongoing construction on Route 611 (Broad Street) as part of a safety improvement initiative in Philadelphia. Motorists should prepare for weekday lane closures between Pattison Avenue and League Island Boulevard through the spring months.

Starting Monday, March 31, and continuing until Friday, May 30, lane closures will be in place from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays. Construction crews will perform lighting improvement operations aimed at enhancing overall road safety in the area.

PennDOT has urged drivers to plan accordingly, as traffic backups and delays are expected during the construction period. Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time while passing through the work zones.

All construction activity is subject to change based on weather conditions, according to PennDOT officials.
