PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will conduct inlet repairs on westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) as part of a $37.9 million project aimed at resurfacing nearly five miles of roadway, repairing ramps, and maintaining over 20 bridges in Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township.
The repair work is scheduled to take place on Friday, January 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During this period, a right lane closure will be in effect on westbound I-76 between the ramp to U.S. 1 North (Exit 340B) and the ramp to Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive (Exit 340A).
Motorists are advised to plan for significant delays and allow extra time when traveling through the repair area. All construction activities are contingent upon favorable weather conditions.
PennDOT urges drivers to exercise caution while navigating this section of the expressway to ensure the safety of workers and travelers alike.
