PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that A.P. Construction, Inc. will carry out curb and sidewalk construction related to the St. Joseph’s University pedestrian bridge on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

Starting Monday, April 7, and continuing through Friday, April 11, a continuous right lane closure will be in place on southbound U.S. 1 at the work zone between Lapsley Lane and Cardinal Avenue. This 24-hour weekday lane restriction aims to accommodate the scheduled construction activities.

Motorists traveling in the area are advised to expect delays and allot additional travel time. PennDOT notes that all work schedules remain weather dependent and subject to change if necessary.
