LANCASTER, PA — A local woman, Katherine Denise Hoskins, 48, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is currently wanted in connection with alleged retail theft, as announced by the Manheim Township Police Department.

The incident reportedly took place at the ULTA Beauty store located at 1575 Fruitville Pike. An employee reported that a woman had selected fragrance gift sets worth $714 and concealed them in her bag before leaving the store without paying.

The alleged theft was captured on the store’s CCTV system, after an alert from another employee who noted that two fragrance sets were unaccounted for. Interestingly, the General Manager of another ULTA store in York, PA, also contacted the Lancaster store about a woman who seemed to be “scouting” the premises and asking about other ULTA locations.

The woman was identified as the same individual seen in the Lancaster store’s CCTV footage. Photos provided by the York store showed the woman arriving and leaving in a silver Volkswagen Jetta with Pennsylvania registration MDX6526. The registered owner of the vehicle was found to be Katherine Hoskins.

Upon comparing Hoskins’ Pennsylvania driver’s license photo with the suspect seen in the ULTA video, it was confirmed that they were the same person, aided by the presence of a distinctive mole or birthmark beside her right eye visible in both photos.

Contacted by phone, Hoskins admitted to being in the ULTA store and concealing items in her bag but claimed she had put them back. It was also discovered that Hoskins has 10 prior retail theft convictions.

Despite these developments, an arrest warrant has been issued as Hoskins remains at large. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 or provide information anonymously online here.

While the allegations against Hoskins are serious, it’s important to remember that these are just allegations, and she is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
