Lancaster Stormers Bolster Roster with Key Additions for 2025

LANCASTER, PA — The Lancaster Stormers have strengthened their roster with three key signings, as announced by manager Ross Peeples. Among the additions are returning standout third baseman Trace Loehr and newcomers Keylan Killgore, a left-handed starter, and Ryley Gilliam, a right-handed reliever.

Loehr, 29, enters his fourth season with the Stormers after solidifying his reputation as one of the team’s cornerstones. Over the past three seasons, he has helped the Stormers secure three second-half division titles and two league championships. Loehr, who hit .257 with 44 doubles and 129 RBIs during his tenure, achieved a career-high 10 home runs in 2024 and earned recognition in 2023 as the Atlantic League’s best defensive third baseman. “Loehr will anchor third base for us,” Peeples said. “He knows our standard and is a leader in the locker room.”

Killgore, 28, joins the Stormers after stints in the Philadelphia and Kansas City systems. The southpaw pitched for Class AA Northwest Arkansas last season, recording a 5-5 record and two saves in 39 appearances. Peeples anticipates Killgore will serve as a vital left-handed presence in the rotation. “We look forward to watching him compete in this role,” he said.

Gilliam, 28, a former fifth-round draft pick of the New York Mets, is set to debut in Atlantic League play as a reliever. A standout closer for Clemson University in 2018, Gilliam recorded 11 saves with a 1.41 ERA while leading the Tigers. He most recently pitched in Class AA with Binghamton in 2021. “Ryley will start off in our pen,” said Peeples. “We hope we can get him back to affiliated ball.”
