LANCASTER, PA — The Lancaster Stormers have strengthened their pitching lineup for the 2025 season with the signing of Noah Skirrow and Phillip Diehl, the team announced this week.

Noah Skirrow, a 26-year-old starting pitcher, joins the Stormers after four seasons in the Philadelphia Phillies’ minor league system. A Liberty University alumnus, Skirrow posted an 8-4 record with Class AAA Lehigh Valley in 2023 and went 6-5 for Class AA Reading in 2024. Over his minor league career, the native Canadian notched a 20-23 record with a 4.84 ERA, striking out 336 batters in 374 innings. Skirrow also represented Team Canada in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, where he delivered five scoreless innings in one start.

“Noah comes recommended to us,” said manager Ross Peeples. “We need a couple of starters and should fit into our rotation well. Hopefully, he can eat up some innings for us, and we can help him get back to a Major League organization.”

Returning for his second season with the Stormers, left-handed reliever Phillip Diehl adds further depth to the bullpen. The 30-year-old Cincinnati native impressed in 2024, recording a 4-3 record with three saves and a 2.29 ERA over 41 appearances. Highlights of his season included a dominant stretch from late June through July, allowing only one run across 17 outings. A former Major Leaguer with the Rockies and Reds, Diehl brings experience and versatility to the pitching staff.

“Phil was a big part of our pen last year,” noted Peeples. “He is a strong lefty who can fit several roles in the pen. He loves to compete and takes the ball every time he is asked.”
