NORTH EAST, MD — Cecil College is set to energize its Seahawks athletic programs with the upcoming Seahawks Week of Giving Campaign. Running from September 29 through October 5, 2024, this inaugural campaign aims to create an endowed fund that will bolster athletic teams, provide student scholarships, and facilitate equipment upgrades at the college.
A primary focus this year is the replacement of the 35-year-old scoreboards, enhancing the fan experience in the newly renovated gymnasium. The initiative seeks to become an annual tradition, gradually expanding the endowment to ensure ongoing support for the college’s athletic pursuits.
Throughout the week, alumni and athletes from the college’s six sports programs will advocate for the campaign, emphasizing the importance of the endowed fund. Each day will spotlight a different team, beginning with Women’s Basketball on September 29 and concluding with Women’s Volleyball on October 5.
- Women’s Basketball – September 29
- Baseball – September 30
- Softball – October 1
- Men’s Basketball – October 2
- Men’s Soccer – October 3
