PHILADELPHIA, PA — Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Light the Way is teaming up with 3WA Wrestling to host the 2nd Annual Saturday Night Slam Down Show Down, a thrilling fundraiser designed to support the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force. This family-friendly wrestling event will take place on Saturday, April 5th, from 5 to 9 pm at the Newtown Campus Gymnasium of Bucks County Community College, located at 275 Swamp Road.

The main event features professional wrestling action reminiscent of WWE, headlined by former WWF and WCW superstar Shane Douglas, also known as “The Franchise.” A lineup of local 3WA wrestlers will also bring their high-flying, hard-hitting talents to the ring, promising a night packed with body slams, suplexes, and entertainment for fans of all ages. Whether you’re a die-hard wrestling fan or just looking for a unique and enjoyable evening, this event guarantees unforgettable moments.

Ticket Information:

  • First Row: $35
  • Second Row: $25
  • General Admission: $20

Tickets can be purchased at the door or through the Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors website.

The proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force, an organization dedicated to ending suicide through advocacy, education, prevention, and intervention efforts. Their mission focuses on destigmatizing mental health, encouraging individuals to seek help, and expanding access to vital services and support for those in need.

Reflecting on the importance of the event, Goldsteins’ owner and funeral director, Randi Casey, stated, “Light the Way was created to give back to the community in which we live and operate. We have done many projects, such as backpack with school supplies giveaways, Halloween Trunk or Treats, Coat Drives, and we collected more than 1,000 pounds of food for Preston and Steve’s Camp Out for Hunger in 2024. We are committed to help local organizations achieve their goals and have an even greater impact on their community.”

The Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force plays a crucial role in the fight against suicide by providing outreach, education, and bereavement resources. According to Tri-Chair Tom Roskowski, “We are excited to be a part of this truly unique fundraising event. The funds raised allow us to continue to support the Bucks County community with resources, programs, education, and bereavement assistance for survivors of suicide. Unfortunately, Bucks County saw an increase in suicides last year, which tells us that we need to provide more information to the community and work to destigmatize mental health.”

The success of last year’s inaugural Slam Down Show Down—which raised $12,000 and attracted more than 150 attendees—is setting high expectations for this year’s event. The 2025 fundraiser aims to engage an even larger audience and generate a significant donation to support the critical mental health initiatives led by the Task Force.

Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Light the Way, launched in 2024, embodies the organization’s mission to foster community connections and empower local initiatives. The program has spearheaded several impactful projects, including food drives, school supply giveaways, and coat drives, demonstrating its dedication to bettering the community.

Fans of wrestling, community members, and supporters of mental health advocacy are encouraged to attend this action-packed evening in support of a vital cause. With an electrifying lineup of matches and an opportunity to make a meaningful difference, the Saturday Night Slam Down Show Down is an event not to be missed.
