GLADWYNE, PA — Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) recently announced that Jason Brown, CEO of MRO, has been named an Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2024 Greater Philadelphia Award winner. This prestigious award recognizes entrepreneurs and transformational leaders of high-growth companies.
Brown was chosen by an independent judging panel consisting of previous award winners, leading CEOs, and other business leaders. The panel evaluated candidates on their ability to create long-term value, entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to their purpose, and demonstrated growth and substantial impact.
“I am truly humbled by this award and want to thank the EY panel for this incredible recognition,” said Brown. “I take pride in unifying teams, fostering innovation, and creating pathways for sustainable future growth, and that’s what we have done at MRO. This award is also a testament to our incredible team and remarkable culture.”
MRO, a market-leading clinical data exchange company, helps healthcare providers and other consumers of clinical data obtain information with greater fidelity and reduced latency, while ensuring compliance, security, and privacy.
As a Greater Philadelphia award winner, Brown will now be considered for the national awards, with winners announced in November at the Strategic Growth Forum®, one of the nation’s top gatherings of high-growth companies. The National Overall Award winner will then compete for the World Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award in June 2025.
The Entrepreneur Of The Year program celebrates various types of business leaders, including original founders, transformational CEOs, and multigenerational family business leaders. Past winners include Daymond John of FUBU, Hamdi Ulukaya of Chobani, Howard Schultz of Starbucks, and Reid Hoffman of LinkedIn.
Award winners become lifetime members of a global community of entrepreneurs, gaining access to insights and resources from alumni and ecosystem members in over 60 countries.
In addition to Entrepreneur Of The Year, EY US supports other entrepreneurs through programs like EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women™ and the EY Entrepreneurs Access Network (EAN), which connect women founders and Black and Hispanic/Latino entrepreneurs with necessary resources and networks.
