CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — JadeYoga, a division of Jade Industries, Inc. has announced the launch of a new yoga mat designed in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The initiative aims to raise awareness and provide crucial humanitarian support for the citizens and injured soldiers of Ukraine.
Dean Jerrehian, the founder of JadeYoga, was inspired to take action after attending an event supporting humanitarian aid in Ukraine. “Before I left, I knew I had to do something,” said Jerrehian.
The event was organized by Ukraine TrustChain, a grassroots organization focused on providing essential aid to Ukrainians affected by the ongoing conflict. The organization funds volunteer teams who deliver medical supplies, food, generators, and stoves, winterize homes, run shelters, repair homes and schools, and evacuate people from dangerous areas. To date, Ukraine TrustChain has helped over a million people, including conducting 56,034 evacuations and feeding and supporting tens of thousands of people weekly.
During the same event, Jerrehian learned about Revived Soldiers Ukraine, an organization providing medical equipment, rehabilitation services, and prosthetics to injured Ukrainian soldiers.
Jerrehian recalled meeting two amputee Ukrainian soldiers at the event, which made the need for aid significantly more tangible. He decided then to leverage his company’s platform to help.
“Before I left the event, I promised the founder of Ukraine TrustChain that we would create a yoga mat to help bring awareness and much needed funding to help support Ukraine, its citizens, and its soldiers,” he explained.
The newly released yoga mat is blue on one side and yellow on the other, reflecting the colors of the Ukrainian flag. JadeYoga has pledged to donate 100% of the profits from the sale of this special edition mat to Ukraine TrustChain and Revived Soldiers Ukraine.
Jerrehian emphasized the importance of collective efforts in making a difference. “It is fitting that while I thought that there was nothing I, as one person could do, spending a couple hours learning about organization built individual by individual, convinced me that when people work together, there is little they cannot do,” he concluded.
