HATFIELD TWP — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has confirmed that essential base repair work will commence on Orvilla Road in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County, starting next week. The repairs are scheduled from Monday, September 23, through Wednesday, September 25, with Orvilla Road set to close from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Route 63 (Welsh Road) and Koffel Road. Motorists are advised to follow the detour routes utilizing Koffel Road, Route 463 (Forty Foot Road), and Route 63.
Subsequently, from Thursday, September 26, to Monday, September 30, Orvilla Road will be closed during the same hours between Koffel Road and Route 463 (Cowpath Road). The designated detour will guide drivers via Route 463 (Cowpath Road), Route 463 (West Broad Street/Forty Foot Road), and Koffel Road.
Moreover, from Tuesday, October 1, to Thursday, October 3, the road will be inaccessible between Route 463 (Cowpath Road) and Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike), with the detour directing traffic through Route 309, Broad Street, and Route 463.
While local access will be maintained, PennDOT urges motorists to allocate additional time for travel due to anticipated backups and delays.
