PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced overnight construction activities aimed at installing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) components on Interstate 95, impacting travel in both Delaware and Philadelphia counties.

Motorists should prepare for a right lane closure on northbound I-95 between the I-476 (Exit 7) and Ridley Park (Exit 8) interchanges in Ridley Township and Ridley Park Borough, Delaware County, scheduled for Monday, September 23, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning. Additionally, from Monday, September 23, through Wednesday, September 25, lane closures will be implemented either on the left or right lanes of the northbound lower deck of the I-95 Girard Point Bridge, spanning from Penrose Avenue (Route 291) to Broad Street (Route 611) in Philadelphia, also between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
