InductEV Forges New Partnerships to Accelerate Wireless Charging in Commercial Transport

InductEV

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — InductEV, a pioneer in wireless charging for commercial transport, has recently announced three strategic partnerships that are set to revolutionize the way electric vehicles (EVs) are powered. The Pennsylvania-based company has teamed up with Miller EV Solutions, Roush, and WB Engineers+Consultants to expedite the adoption of its high-power, on-route inductive charging technology and AI energy management system.

These partnerships aim to offer a comprehensive solution for the design and deployment of InductEV’s wireless charging system. The move comes in response to increasing demand from commercial fleet owners and operators, as well as intermodal facilities and ports.

“Commercial fleets are the biggest contributor to GHG emissions worldwide in transportation,” said Barry Libert, chairman and CEO of InductEV. “We are therefore pleased to announce today three new strategic partners, all of which possess the technological know-how and services to help implement our vision for wireless EV charging in the commercial and industrial transport sectors.”

Miller EV Solutions will be responsible for the electrical infrastructure, prefabrication, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of InductEV’s in-ground charging systems. By ensuring up to 99.9% uptime for customers, the partnership aims to significantly enhance the quality and speed of the electric service.

Roush will bring their expertise in integration engineering design and post-deployment servicing of vehicle assemblies to the table. The company’s size and scale enable prompt deployment of resources and services.

WB Engineers+Consultants will lend its specialized knowledge in electrical infrastructure engineering & design. This will be critical in the design and installation of optimized charging systems, making it an integral part of InductEV’s turnkey solution.

InductEV’s unique selling point is its patented AI-managed, on-route wireless charging solution. This technology shifts EV charging to daytime use of renewables, reducing the need for large EV batteries, lowering vehicle costs, and eliminating the need for recycling by extending battery life by a factor of 4-8X. The company holds 18 patents with 23 pending for its technology.

To date, InductEV has delivered over 1.5 GWh of energy to customers across the U.S. and the EU through its wireless charging network. This is equivalent to saving 650 metric tons of CO2, highlighting the company’s commitment to reducing the carbon footprint of commercial fleets.

In addition to these partnerships, InductEV recently announced a strategic alliance with Detroit Manufacturing Systems. This collaboration will allow InductEV to leverage DMS’s operational, manufacturing, quality-by-design, and supply chain expertise, enabling the company to scale more quickly to meet customer demand.

The new partnerships mark a significant step forward in the commercial transport sector’s transition to wireless charging. With its innovative technology and strategic collaborations, InductEV is poised to lead the charge toward a cleaner, more efficient future for commercial transportation.
