PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a series of resurfacing projects slated for several state highways in Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. These initiatives are part of an extensive effort to repair and repave over 200 miles of state highways in the Philadelphia area.
Commencing Sunday, October 6, through Friday, October 11, motorists should expect alternating lane closures on U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM daily, between the Delaware State line and Oakland Road in Concord and Chadds Ford townships. Additionally, Joshua Road at the Germantown Pike Intersection in Whitemarsh Township will experience lane closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Furthermore, from October 14 to October 18, Henry Avenue in Philadelphia will see lane restrictions in both directions for bridge deck sealing.
These projects aim to improve road conditions by implementing milling and repaving efforts with new asphalt, enhancing safety and ride quality for drivers. With potential traffic delays anticipated, drivers are urged to plan accordingly.
