PHILADELPHIA, PA — HHM Hotels this week announced the promotion of Dani Elhachem to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). The announcement comes as the management and investment firm seeks to bolster its operational leadership and continue its trajectory of growth in the hospitality sector.
Elhachem, who has amassed a decade’s worth of experience in senior and executive roles at HHM Hotels, brings to the role a proven track record of driving robust results for new and existing ownership partners. His innovative approaches to commercial strategy, particularly around distribution for both branded and independent verticals, have been instrumental in differentiating HHM Hotels within the industry.
HHM Hotels’ portfolio includes an impressive array of properties across the United States, Canada, and the Bahamas. With over 100 Marriott-branded hotels, 65 Hilton-branded hotels, and more than 50 independent and soft-branded hotels and resorts, as well as properties under the Hyatt and IHG brand families, HHM Hotels has demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in the hospitality industry.
“Dani’s well-deserved appointment as COO marks an exciting chapter for HHM Hotels. His people-centric approach, coupled with a forward-thinking mindset for our partners, has been instrumental in creating differentiation within our industry,” said Naveen Kakarla, President & CEO of HHM Hotels.
Elhachem’s journey in the hospitality industry began with various hotel leadership positions within Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Marriott Hotels of Canada, among others. He joined HHM Hotels in 2013 to lead its New York City portfolio and quickly expanded his expertise across the larger portfolio. His work resulted in the launch of a luxury and lifestyle division, Echelon by HHM Hotels, which leverages the Independent Collection Hotels & Resorts.
In tandem with Elhachem’s promotion, HHM Hotels announced a strategic role transition for company founder and partner Mike Murray. Murray will assume the newly created position of Chief Business Officer, focusing on enhancing collaboration with current owners and clients and driving growth opportunities through acquisitions and asset management.
The leadership reshuffle positions HHM Hotels to continue its growth trajectory in the highly competitive hospitality sector. With Elhachem at the helm of operations and Murray focusing on business development, the company appears well-poised for continued success in the coming years.
