Heads Up: Route 32 Closures Could Disrupt Your Daily Drive—Stay Informed!

Traffic Alert

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced an upcoming series of maintenance activities scheduled on Route 32, also known as River Road, in Bucks County. These operations are part of an ongoing effort to enhance road conditions and improve overall infrastructure in the region.

Commencing Monday, September 30, and continuing through Tuesday, October 8, River Road will undergo weekday closures from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The affected stretch lies between Taylorsville Road and Woodside Road in Upper and Lower Makefield townships. During this period, motorists are advised to follow designated detour routes via Taylorsville Road and Woodside Road to circumvent the closed section.

Following this initial phase, from Wednesday, October 9, to Monday, October 14, River Road will again be closed on weekdays between Woodside Road and Route 332 (Afton Avenue) in Lower Makefield Township and Yardley Borough. Drivers will be rerouted using Woodside Road, Taylorsville Road, and Route 332 (Afton Avenue) to facilitate the paving activities.

Throughout both phases, local access will be maintained to ensure residents and businesses continue to operate with minimal disruption. However, PennDOT advises all motorists to allocate additional travel time when navigating through or near the work zones, as traffic backups and delays are anticipated. It is crucial to note that all planned activities are contingent upon favorable weather conditions and may be subject to change.
