CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Hamilton Lane (Nasdaq: HLNE) has announced the expansion of its Direct Equity Investment Team with the addition of five senior professionals across North America and Europe. This move aims to bolster the firm’s capabilities in managing direct equity investments as part of its growth strategy.
Nelda Chang, Kyle McGinnis, and Jenny Zhang have joined the team at Hamilton Lane’s headquarters in Conshohocken. Chang will lead efforts in the origination, evaluation, and due diligence of direct investment opportunities across North America. Her previous experience includes a principal role at GCM Grosvenor and positions at Headlands Capital and American Securities. McGinnis arrives from Onex Partners and brings experience from H.I.G. Capital and Wells Fargo Securities. Zhang comes from Two Sigma, with a background at Carlyle’s private equity team.
In Europe, Aljoscha Dudek, based in London, will manage direct equity opportunities across EMEA. His prior role was with PSP Investments, overseeing a private equity portfolio. Both Dudek and the new North American members report to Ken Binick, Co-Head of Direct Equity Investments.
Additionally, Benjamin Kalter joins the Impact Investment Team in Conshohocken, focusing on direct equity impact transactions. Kalter was previously with Nuveen, specializing in growth equity investments on their private equity impact investing team.
