Hamilton Lane Opens Private Infrastructure Fund to U.S. Retail Investors

Hamilton Lane

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Hamilton Lane (Nasdaq: HLNE) has unveiled the Hamilton Lane Private Infrastructure Fund (HLPIF), giving U.S. retail investors unprecedented access to private infrastructure assets. Available with a minimum investment of just $500 through Republic’s platform, HLPIF is the first private infrastructure offering aimed at non-accredited investors in the U.S. The firm also plans to introduce a tokenized format for the fund, further democratizing access to private markets.

By partnering with Republic, Hamilton Lane continues to expand the accessibility of institutional-quality investments. Victor Jung, Head of Digital Assets at Hamilton Lane, emphasized the importance of this development, stating, “We view today’s launch of HLPIF on Republic’s market-leading digital platform as a major step forward in Hamilton Lane’s commitment to delivering access to investors of all types, including retail investors in the U.S. We believe the evolution of the private markets industry broadly will be driven by technological innovation – including tokenization – spurred by retail demand for different structures, lower minimums, and easier access.”

Infrastructure investments, a $1.2 trillion asset class, remain a compelling option for consistent returns and low risk. The fund focuses on essential assets like data centers, pipelines, and international airports, offering long-term cash flows and high barriers to entry. Brent Burnett, Head of Infrastructure and Real Assets at Hamilton Lane, explained, “The megatrends we see driving innovation in today’s global economy – the continued expansion of AI, the increasing demand for power generation, and the evolution of supply chains – are all underpinned by infrastructure. We are excited to be expanding access to this sector’s historically consistent performance, cash flows, and manageable downside risk.”

Republic Co-CEO Andrew Durgee highlighted the role of blockchain technology in expanding private market access. “We believe that the tokenization of real-world assets, including through our industry-leading blockchain-based architecture, is the key to bringing institutional-grade private market investments like private infrastructure to everyone,” Durgee said.

HLPIF aims to provide diverse global infrastructure exposure through a single investment while offering potential liquidity options, including quarterly repurchase offers and future tokenized opportunities. By bridging the gap between private markets and retail investors, Hamilton Lane and Republic are reshaping the investment landscape.
