LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that guide rail construction will be taking place on Route 32 (River Road) in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County. The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission will be overseeing the operation.

The construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 27, and continue through until Friday, December 22. During this time, a weekday periodic lane closure will be in effect on Route 32 (River Road) between Robinson Place and Woodside Road. The closure will occur from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Motorists are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys when traveling through or near the work areas due to potential backups and delays. All scheduled activities are dependent on weather conditions.

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission will carry out the project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit. This construction forms part of a broader effort to improve safety and infrastructure along Route 32.
