READING, PA — Omega Systems has announced the appointment of Greg Smith as Vice President of Corporate Development, a role in which he will spearhead the company’s aggressive mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy during its ongoing expansion across the Northeast and broader U.S.
Smith brings extensive experience in M&A, having led high-profile deal negotiations, integrations, and pipeline development within the IT and managed services sectors. Previously, he served as Director of Corporate Development at Dataprise, where he executed seven acquisitions and developed the firm’s acquisition strategy. Most recently, he founded Prosim Partners, an advisory firm providing buy-side consulting to private equity firms and strategic acquirers.
“Greg’s hands-on experience leading successful acquisitions, combined with his operational understanding of the managed services space, makes him a tremendous asset as we accelerate our next phase of growth,” said Mike Fuhrman, CEO of Omega Systems. “With four successful acquisitions in the past three years, we’re excited to hit the gas pedal and bring a dedicated focus to our corporate development strategy.”
Omega Systems has leveraged previous M&A activity to expand its offerings in cybersecurity, IT compliance, and managed cloud connectivity while strengthening its industry presence in financial services and healthcare. With a strategic investment from Revelstoke Capital Partners earlier this year, the company is poised to further broaden its geographic reach, enhance IT services, and deepen its support of regulated industries.
“I’m thrilled to join Omega Systems at such a pivotal time in its growth journey,” said Smith. “They have an outstanding reputation for delivering best-in-class IT and security services, and I’m excited to work alongside the Omega and Revelstoke teams to help accelerate that momentum by identifying strategic opportunities that enhance our value to customers and expand our capabilities in key markets.”
Smith, who holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Public Accountant, also brings a philanthropic spirit through his advisory work with Special Olympics initiatives.
Looking ahead, Omega Systems is committed to driving innovation and delivering exceptional solutions through strategic acquisitions aimed at enhancing its portfolio and expanding its footprint in key markets.
