PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Greater Philadelphia Film Office (GPFO) has launched a newly redesigned website, film.org, aimed at enhancing accessibility and improving the region’s appeal to filmmakers and producers. The updated site offers a modern, user-friendly interface designed to connect stakeholders with critical resources in three clicks or less.
The redesign focuses on streamlining access to essential tools such as permitting processes, tax incentives, and job opportunities. Key features include a revamped permit page, a comprehensive incentives section detailing Pennsylvania’s Film Tax Credit, and updates to the Job Hotline, which is designed to connect users with industry opportunities. GPFO has also introduced a refreshed filmography page showcasing featured projects along with IMDB links, and a mobile-friendly design tailored for any device.
“This process has been a labor of love for the team here at GPFO and, just as importantly, reflects what we heard directly from the people and organizations using our website,” said Nicole Shiner, Co-Executive Director. “We’re thrilled that so many want to be part of the regional economic development occurring in the greater Philadelphia area and are proud that this new website will support that effort.”
The website’s directories feature over 1,000 local crew members and more than 500 local businesses, alongside a robust location database listing more than 4,450 sites. These tools aim to cater to the needs of filmmakers while promoting the Greater Philadelphia area as a premier production destination.
“When we were named co-directors in November, we focused on what steps we needed to take to move GPFO in a new direction with fresh ideas and initiatives,” added Erin Wagner, Co-Executive Director. “Being able to launch this newly redesigned website is an important step in that evolution and we are excited for everyone to see it. The redesigned site is easier for users to navigate and also improves the image of the region that we’re projecting.”
The new website is expected to play a vital role in fostering industry growth, supporting local talent, and promoting Greater Philadelphia’s appeal to both national and international productions. Visitors are encouraged to explore the redesigned platform to discover its many features.
