KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — To celebrate teaching excellence, Goddard Systems, LLC (GSL), the manager of The Goddard School franchise system, has honored 16 distinguished teachers from its establishments across the U.S.
The Goddard School Teacher of the Year Awards, now in its 18th year, extols Goddard School educators who bring passion to teaching and inspire a sense of wonder in their students. This year saw nominations top 6,600, spotlighting teachers from over 630 Goddard School locations. These educators stood out in four classroom categories – infant, toddler, preschool/pre-K, and kindergarten/school-age – across the northeast, southeast, central, and west regions.
Each of these 16 prodigious teachers has been chosen for their excellence, leadership, creativity, and a nurturing teaching approach. Their dedication goes beyond the call of duty to make a substantial difference in their students and their families’ lives.
“The Goddard School system is structured around thousands of committed teachers across the country,” said Dennis R. Maple, Chairman and CEO, GSL. As Teacher Appreciation Week commences, Maple wanted to express his gratitude for their passion for teaching and nurturing every child’s potential. The Teacher of the Year is a celebrated part of this week, recognizing these remarkable educators for their exceptional contributions.
The 2024 Teacher of the Year winners have been awarded a $1,000 cash prize, and GSL has dedicated a custom set of Life Lesson Library books in each teacher’s name to their respective schools. These winners have made strong home-school connections, focused on student health & safety, and integrated their unique passions into their teaching.
Among these regional winners, Albina Ejupi from The Goddard School of Westport was named the grand prize winner of The Goddard School Teacher of the Year Awards. Ejupi has made a significant positive impact on hundreds of students and families during her 4 years at the school, fostering a stimulating and supportive learning environment. As the grand prize winner, GSL honored Ejupi with an additional $5,000 cash award.
Dr. Lauren Loquasto, Senior Vice President and Chief Academic Officer, GSL, emphasized the company’s commitment to nurturing educators’ growth, expressing their appreciation for the teachers who love what they do and prepare their students for the next stages of their academic and life journeys.
